Independence Day - Day 25
Not too many fireworks for our little peanut today! He is still receiving 12 cc's of breast milk every three hours and is up to 750 grams (1 pound, 10 ounces). He has made it known that he is a "touch me not" baby. Everytime he is fussed with to do whatever (change positions, change diaper, bath, etc) his oxygen requirements go up. His nurse suggested that some preemies are just this way...he wants to be left alone to grow and sleep (We know how ya feel buddy!) During our visit we noticed that Austin was a little pale...another blood transfusion was in the works.
We popped in for our second visit of the day this evening with Andrew, Abbie, and Audrey who love to talk to Austin and pray with him. Austin always seems to open his eyes when he hears their voices. It is pretty neat.
