Day 31

This picture of Austin was taken during one of our recent visits. It is in honor of his Great Grandpa Kura who passed away on December 16, 2005. He was an avid Yankee fan! He would be proud of our little fighter.

Word has it that Austin's bum was the talk of the NICU this evening. He apparently had a huge blowout. In spite of it all, he managed to gain 30 grams today which puts him at 810 grams (a little over 1 lb, 12 oz). His O2 is in the low 30's and his ventilator setting was reduced from 22 breaths per minute (bpm) to 20 bpm...heading in the right direction.
