Day 43
Our little wiggler gained back 20 grams today which brings him back up to 2 pounds, 1 ounce. Because Austin tries "climbing out of his bed," his nurse tonight put a sleep positioner over his legs to keep him still. His O2 requirements ranged between 23% and 33% throughout the day.Gina has had an upper respiratory infection over the last few days which has kept her from visiting Austin. She really misses visiting Austin, but knows it is best for him and the other precious babies to stay away. I stopped in for a visit this afternoon and hung out with Austin for a little while. Gina and the kids waited in the NICU waiting room. He looked so cute...we wish we could open his isolette to cuddle him.

FAMILY............I am happy I am part of your family, and you guys are a part of ours, not just by blood , but by GOD also. knowing your faith in GOD has blessed your family and has given the gift of Austin for all to witness the power of the ALL MIGHTY. Knowing that you guys are a part of the family of God and that we will always be together for here and eternity.
You are WONDERFUL, and we all love you. I am jealous of the nurses who get to see you and take care of you. You are the inspiration for all to see the work of GOD first hand.

Austin just e-mailed me this am before going to work. He told me that he thought about it all night.....forming a singing group AUSTIN JAMES AND THE ISOLETTES.Of course he would be the lead singer because he already has the moves of Elvis and all the girl infants in his room would be the back up singers! I told him as long as he did not sound like a cpap alarm, he would be a hit!!! Awesome idea Austin!
