Day 64

Gina and I had a nice visit with Austin today. Gina gave Austin a bath for the first time and then nursed him for his noon time feeding. After he was done nursing, daddy had an opportunity to "kangaroo" Austin for the first time. Can't put into words how wonderful it was to have him lay on me today.

Austin weighed 3 pounds, 1 ounce and is doing well. We look forward to seeing him everyday and miss him when we are apart. We know he is in good hands and are thankful for that!

  • Gina's holding him like an old pro. Kangaroo care is a zen-like experience. You get to feel and smell your child as close as possible and realize the miracle that is touching you.
