Day 60
Upon Gina's arrival tonight, Austin was a little fussy in his isolette. He immediatley calmed down when he was placed in mommy's arms. Gina held Austin and nursed him for the second time. In the picture above, we think Austin was offering up thanks to the Lord for mommy's breast milk.Austin's Oxygen requirements were equivelant to room air (21%) today which is what we all breathe. He weighed 1310 grams tonight which is 2 pounds, 14 ounces. He continues to do very well...we love him so very much!

I think Austin is praying for nurse kim to be his nurse again......(just kidding).My friend Judy from Northway knows about Austin now too. She also feels that he is a testament to the NICU with how well he has done for being a whimpy white boy......You see, statistically,across the nation, white males do the worst in the NICU and NICU Drs. refer to them as that name(whimpy white boys).Somehow, I can't see Austin as being a whimp with the kind of resume he has! God is awesome!

Gina, those vitamins you take sure have made a BIG change in him!!! He is doing GREAT!!!!!!!
