Day 46

Austin's wonderful nurses helped him celebrate his weight gain by presenting him with an official certificate recognizing his membership in the "KILO CLUB." He confirmed that he belongs by packing on another 45 grams today...he weighs 1045 grams which is just about 2 pounds, 5 ounces. He is now receiving 20 cc's of breast milk for each feeding.

Austin is still alternating between the CPAP mask and the CPAP prongs. His oxygen requirements were better today. They ranged between 24% and 28%. Overall, Austin had an excellent day and is doing exactly what he is supposed to.

  • Austin was busy and e-mailed me again. He told me that he wants to take up scuba diving.....he has the mask, 02, humidity and diaper looking bathing suit.He told me he can even hold his breath at times! I told him to check with his Mom.He also told me that he was practicing another song today for Brooke especially....LOVE ME TENDER.I think Austin has it in for her! He is one cute dude!He said he wants to be like 007 and that is why he has James as his middle name....JAMES BOND. What more could any girl ask...he sings, weight lifts, scuba dives, has a really nice place and most of all is cute with a nice family.What next will Austin think of!!!!!!

  • The Press would like an interview with the next Power Lifter in Pittsburgh. They are amazed at the progress and how fast he is gaining strength on the competition. Since he is behind closed doors , no one knows the real secret behind his success but a close source said it is because his parents are believers in Christ and through him all things are possible!!!!!
