Day 52
Gina along with her friend Alicia had an excellent visit with Austin tonight. This picture was taken as Gina was preparing to change our little guys diaper. After changing his diaper, Gina held him (kangaroo care) for the entire visit. Austin loved this time with his mommy. He received his feeding while Gina was holding him and sucked on his binki. Gina can't quite describe the wonderful feelings she felt as Austin held her finger and glared at her while she was rocking him. It was simply amazing!
Austin was up 30 grams today weighing in at 1210 grams which is a little over 2 pounds, 10 ounces! His oxygen requirements have been consistently hovering in the mid 20's.

I had Austin and Brooke as patients today. Austin begged me to take him over to Brookes isolette. He is such a flirt! Brooke learned a new trick yesterday......how to do blow-outs!. She must have learned it from Austin. Brooke's daddy wouldn't even tackle that one! Austin also has decided to add being a magician to his resume. He can get out of his swaddling and cpap as soon as you have it on. He is one tricky dude! What will he think of next????

Jon - Day 52 is great news. I'm guessing that he will be taller than you in 13 - 14 years. Take care buddy! John Cashin

Look at those beautiful eyes. He is such an amazing gift from God. Oh Lord- continue to be the Lord of miracles. Thank you for 52 days and we pray for 52 million more. Thank you for using his little life already to connect so many people from coast to coast. May we raise up this family to you and may they continue to walk with faith in your light.

Today's picture brought us to tears. Aaron and Holly forwarded this to us and we are so moved by it. Thanks for being faithful to updating it everyday. We miss you guys and are praying for you. It's true what they say that you don't care if your baby is a boy or a girl, just that their healthy. God has great things for Austin...he is blessing so many people already!
With love,
Scott and Allison
